COMMUNICATION GUIDELINES

Congratulations on receiving a Galesburg Community Foundation grant. We are proud to support your work and look forward to seeing the impact you will create in our community. We encourage you to share the news of this grant to raise awareness of your work and ask that you adhere to our branding guidelines as you share the news on your platforms. The following communication guidelines will assist you with these promotions.

Acknowledgement

Please recognize Galesburg Community Foundation’s support with our full name and/or logo in publications, programs, and/or signage for events or presentations that received grant funding. When possible, use this written acknowledgement: “This program is supported by Galesburg Community Foundation.”

When applicable, please acknowledge the individual funds that have made your grant possible. The name of the funds that provided your grant are listed in your grant agreement. Please use the following language “The ‘XXX’ project was made possible by a grant from the ‘XXX’ fund at Galesburg Community Foundation.”

When including a description, please refer to the following:

“Galesburg Community Foundation develops and supports the efforts of local people and organizations to promote healthy communities. The Community Foundation makes giving easy and believes that generosity can positively change Knox and Warren Counties forever. The Community Foundation partners with individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofits to help them have the greatest impact with their giving. The Community Foundation is working for the good of your community.”

Logo

We encourage you to use our logo in connection with the specific project for which Galesburg Community Foundation has provided support. Please do not use our logo on your general materials, such as letterhead or newsletters. To download, right click on the link and choose “Save Link Target As” or “Save Target As”.

When using the Galesburg Community Foundation logo:

  • Do not add content to the logo or alter its proportions.
  • There should be a minimum of ¼” of space around the logo.
  • The colors in the logo should never be substituted. Use either the color or black and white logo.
  • Our partnership does not give your organization permission to use Galesburg Community Foundation’s logo or name on any fundraising materials unless you have received written permission from us.
  • Contact info@yourgcf.org if another logo format is needed.

Social media

Follow our Facebook account (https://www.facebook.com/YourGCF) and we will follow you back! Please tag us (@yourgcf) in grant-related posts, photos, and events. When possible, Galesburg Community Foundation will tag your organization in posts so you are notified of the post. Liking or commenting on the post is strongly encouraged to drive users to your page.

We post grant announcements in our News section and encourage you to share those links.

  • We’re excited to receive a grant from Galesburg Community Foundation {@yourgcf} to support {description of program or service}. This grant will help us {more details about your program or service}.
  • Thank you to Galesburg Community Foundation {@yourgcf) for supporting {description of program or service} with a grant from The Turnout.

Photographs and Videos

Galesburg Community Foundation welcomes good quality digital photographs of grantees and community programs. We may use them in our communications to inform the public about your work. If you would like to supply us with current images, please contact us at info@yourgcf.org. Please note that if you photograph an individual under the age of 18, proof of a photo release from a parent or guardian will be required.
