As we embark on the next 15 years of positively changing our region forever through philanthropy, our Board Chair, Dr. John McClean, and our President & CEO, Joshua Gibb, share their thoughts about what the future holds for Galesburg Community Foundation.
During the past 15 years, Galesburg Community Foundation has grown and established endowed funds in excess of $30 million dollars but our vision for the future is about so much more than dollars. Your Community Foundation exists to inspire and encourage the untapped potential of nonprofits, and one of the ways to do that is to strengthen partnerships among the people of our community—between nonprofits, businesses, government, financial advisors and people like you. We hope our vision and work reflects the ever-changing needs of the people who live in this region.
By 2025, Galesburg Community Foundation will be a conduit for community problem solving. We will be the permanent, cohesive and reliable resource for giving in this region. We can accomplish this with your help.
We are committed to the idea that endowment is the greatest way to effect permanent, positive change forever. We know that more work needs to be done to spread that message. Sometimes it’s as simple as a phone call to our office.
This is our work: helping people create legacies for the things they are passionate about, for the things that you hold in your heart. It only takes a moment to pause and consider how your lifetime imprint in the community can positively impact generations to come. We want to walk alongside you and empower you as you make those decisions.
