Scholarships assist local students in pursuing their dreams

Madison Springer, a recent Galesburg High School graduate, dreams of the day she can own her own bakery and serve as a hub for her community. A scholarship administered by Galesburg Community Foundation puts her one step closer to achieving these dreams. Madison received the Doloras M. Ryner Business Scholarship, which is awarded to a Galesburg High School senior who has taken a business course and plans to major in a business-related field.

“I’m very grateful for the opportunity to be the recipient of this scholarship and for the investment in my life not only as a businesswoman, but as a person. This scholarship will allow me to be able to take every opportunity I’m given to be able to pursue my dreams,” Madison says.

Galesburg Community Foundation awarded nine scholarships to a total of eighteen local students. Each scholarship has its own criteria for selection.

Congratulations to the 2024 scholarship recipients.
