Bickerdyke Society members are generous and forward-thinking individuals who support our communities’ long-term success. Our Bickerdyke Society honors individuals and families who remember the Community Foundation, or a fund at the Community Foundation in their will.
The Bickerdyke Society is named for Mary Ann Bickerdyke, who is also known as Mother Bickerdyke, a Galesburg resident. Mother Bickerdyke was known for her generous and courageous service as Chief Nurse under the command of General Ulysses S. Grant during the Civil War.
Becoming a member of the Bickerdyke Society is simple. Please just inform Galesburg Community Foundation of your intent by filling out our form. We do not require you to disclosure of the amount you desire to leave.
