You do not need to be wealthy to leave a legacy. Make your core values known by joining the Bickerdyke Society at Galesburg Community Foundation. Bickerdyke Society members are generous and forward-thinking individuals who support our communities’ long-term success. Our Bickerdyke Society honors individuals and families who remember the Community Foundation, or a fund at the Community Foundation, in their will.
The Bickerdyke Society is named for Galesburg resident Mary Ann Bickerdyke. Also known as Mother Bickerdyke, she is known for her generous and courageous service as Chief Nurse under the command of General Ulysses S. Grant during the Civil War.
Becoming a member of the Bickerdyke Society is simple. All that you need to do inform Galesburg Community Foundation of your intent. We do not require you to disclosure the amount you desire to leave. Call 309.344.8898 to learn more.
