The Monmouth Community Fund is less than $20,000 from its goal of $70,000.
When the goal is reached, every dollar raised will be matched through a partnership between the Twomey Foundation, Galesburg Community Foundation, and United Way of Greater Warren County. This will not only double the fund’s impact but will jumpstart a plan for longer-term stability and perpetual giving in the Monmouth community.
Guided by an advisory board of local residents, the Monmouth Community Fund will support the services and needs of Monmouth. Since the fund will be endowed, the more the fund grows, the more dollars will be available each year to grant into the community.
“This is truly a community fund—a way that anyone can contribute to the community and we can all work together for the common good,” said Trevor Davies, who is on the advisory board for the fund, “Whether you can give $5 or $5,000, you’re part of this. It’s not just another fundraiser—this is about our legacy.”
